Natural Allergy Relief

Have you considered natural methods to eliminate allergy symptoms?

We offer a combined treatment solution to your chronic health issues through Nutrition and Functional Medicine.

Nutrition is focused on metabolism and metabolic pathways, biochemical steps through which substance inside us are transformed from one form to another, Nutrition also focuses on how diseases, conditions and problems can be prevented or reduced with a healthy diet. Similarly, nutrition involves identifying how certain diseases and conditions may be caused by dietary factors, such as poor diet (malnutrition), food allergies and food intolerances.

Functional medicine looks for the root cause of illness by identifying the primary drivers of chronic illness. By finding why your having the allergies we can fix the problem and get rid of the symptoms not just cover them up!

It seeks to identify and address the root causes of disease, and views the body as one integrated system, not a collection of independent organs divided up by medical specialties. It treats the whole system, not just the symptoms.

Why do we have allergies?

Allergies and sensitivities happen when our immune system responds to foreign particles or pathogens that are perceived as harmful. The body can overreact in sensitive individuals to certain substances, while harmless in others. This hypersensitivity of the immune system sees the allergen as an invader and sends out immune cells to attack the allergen, thus causing an allergic reaction.

A common contributor to allergies is Intestinal Permeability aka Leaky Gut Syndrome. Leaky Gut Syndrome is a condition affecting the lining of the intestines, where the lining is not functioning properly. Typically foods are broken down, absorbed, and eliminate; however, with leaky gut, partially digested food particles, bacteria, and other waste products can now cross through the lining and enter the blood stream directly. Over time, Leaky Gut Syndrome will stress the body and begin to impair the immune system. This can lead to issues that may not seem related to the impaired gastrointestinal tract, such as allergies.

How do allergies affect us and how do I know I have an allergy?

Allergy symptoms vary from the type of intensity and reaction, and can affect every system and organ in the body.

Digestive System

Reactions include acid reflux, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), indigestion, heartburn, abdominal and intestinal pain, gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation and vomiting. These symptoms are primarily caused by food allergies or other ingestants.

Respiratory System

Symptoms include sinusitis, hay fever, wheezing, asthma, chronic cough, shortness of breath, skin conditions, rashes and itchy, watery eyes. Reactions may be caused by allergies/sensitivities to foods, peanuts, tree nuts, fungus, molds, pollens, dust, dust mites, chemicals and animals (including dog and cat dander and bird feathers), airborne substances and contacts.

Multiple Systems

Allergies/sensitivities can affect multiple systems in the body, resulting in headaches, irritability, hyperactivity, mood swings, depression, anxiety, fatigue, tachycardia or inflammation.
